All three ensembles – the HARMUNICHS women’s chorus, the NEWPHORIA women’s quartet and the VETO mixed quartet – bring a great deal of stage experience, a love of barbershop music and a joy in performing, and they captivate their audience with sophisticated and entertaining a cappella arrangements from pop, rock, jazz and musicals.

Harmunichs
The HARMUNICHS – founded in 1995 as Munich’s first barbershop chorus – are a group of more than 50 women with powerful voices who are dedicated to four-part barbershop and a cappella singing. With four gold and four silver medals each at the German Barbershop Chorus Championships and a first-place finish at the International Spanish Championships, the Harmunichs, under the direction of Monica Knox, are among the top choruses of their genre in Germany.
Newphoria
NEWPHORIA are four female singers with many years’ experience in barbershop singing, who have been performing together in this line-up since 2021. As the reigning best female quartet in the German barbershop community, they captivate audiences with their distinctive sound.
Veto
The German-American quartet VETO have been performing together since 2023 and last year secured first place at the European Championships for mixed barbershop quartets.
