Registration and accommodation
- When do ticket sales begin?
Ticket sales always start in the spring of the current year. The exact date and the link to the shop are available via the "Ticket Sales" button.
- How much does it cost to attend Harmony College?
You can find the prices on our event page.
- Do I need to register myself, or can someone else buy a ticket for me?
You don't have to buy your ticket yourself; someone else can buy a ticket for you.
- What happens if I get sick shortly before the event?
Our terms and conditions clearly state the deadlines for cancellations and the associated cancellation fees. Since unexpected illness can never be ruled out, we recommend taking out seminar cancellation insurance. For example, Hanse Merkur and Ergo offer such policies. Please check whether these provide the necessary coverage for your needs.
- Youth hostel: What's the deal with the different meal slots?
To avoid overcrowding at mealtimes, there are two groups (A and B) with different lunch and dinner times (slots). Upon check-in, you can choose one of the two groups and will receive a small sticker as a reminder.

The hostel kitchen tries to accommodate all our dietary needs. In addition to vegetarian options, vegan and gluten-free meals are also available. If you bring your own food and need to keep it refrigerated, you will have access to a separate refrigerator.
Please let us know your requirements when you register or contact us directly.

Water and tea are always available free of charge; coffee is also available at breakfast. In addition, you can purchase inexpensive drinks, including alcoholic beverages, at the bar.

- Who are the members of the faculty?
Our faculty consists of national and international coaches with outstanding expertise. You can find their names and bios on our event page.
- Which are the project choruses to choose from this year?
There are three project choirs:
High Voices Chorus (SSAA)
Mixed Voices Chorus (SATB)
Low Voices Chorus (TTBB).
As the names suggest, the SSAA Chorus is for high voices and the TTBB Chorus for low voices, regardless of gender. These choruses are open to everyone. The repertoire and pitch will be similar to men's (TTBB) or women's (SSAA) choruses though.
The Mixed Voices Chorus (SATB) is adjusted for both of the above categories - just like in a mixed chorus.
It's important that the No.1 priority for your choice of the chorus are your voice characteristics!
- What'll be the supporting program at Harmony College?
On the first evening, the traditional BinG! Quartet Competition (Coesfeld Cup) takes place.
On the second evening, the Members' Forum will be held.
On the third evening, the Chorditorium will take place. That's is a lively evening with an open stage. Anyone can participate – after registering on-site that same day (information will be announced there). Only one performance per group.
On the last day, there will be the farewell concert. Each project chorus will present the two songs they have rehearsed (the respective outfits will be announced in your event app). Afterwards, everyone will hug to say goodbye...
- What is the members' forum?
On the second evening of the Harmony College, the board of BinG! offers an opportunity for an open with its members as part of the members' forum. New ideas and suggestions for the further development of BinG! are welcome!

The "Coesfeld Cup"
- Who can participate?
Every registered BinG! quartet. The registration period ends in August; the exact date will be announced later.
- Can I participate at the Coesfeld Cup without being a registered Harmony College member?
Yes, you can! Every BinG! quartet can register for the Coesfeld Cup. The invitation will be sent to all BinG! quartets in mid-June.
- Are there any requirements for the competition set?
Yes, each quartet must perform two contestable songs. If you are unsure, contact an arranger or music judge beforehand.
- How do I register my quartet for the Coesfeld Cup?
Each registered BinG! quartet will be contacted by the board in mid-June and can then register directly to participate.
- Is the Coesfeld Cup a qualifying competition?
Unlike in previous years, the Coesfeld Cup is no longer the qualifier for the next Barbershop Music Festival (BMF). The next BMF will take place in 2028 and will have its own qualifying round (semi-finals) for quartets.
