Sugar 'n Spice

We have been singing barbershop since 1994: more than 25 women sing in four-part a cappella harmony. We organise themed evenings based on the 1920s, tell stories using contemporary pop songs, or like to poke fun at ourselves – for example, when performing Christmas songs. Ballads such as "Love Letters" and upbeat, fast-paced numbers like "It’s Raining Men" are part of our repertoire. The chorus is conducted by Washington de Oliveira. Every two years, we take part in the nationwide "Barbershop Convention" competition.
